The Girl from the South originally hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana but grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Hence all the references to Vols and Cajuns.

Two years ago, she fulfilled a life-long dream of living in DC and going to grad school. She traded the charming town of Chattanooga for the Beltway and sold her soul to student loans in order to work on her M.A. in public communication from American University.
